Therapy As A Process
Q: What can I expect during my first therapy session?
A: During the first therapy session, your therapist will make sure to keep your comfort as a priority and help you understand how the sessions will look like. We spend time in understanding each other, your expectations from therapy, and understanding your context and history. don't worry about being prepared in the right way, your therapist will take care of it!
Q: How long does each therapy session last?
A: Each therapy session lasts for 50-55 minutes approximately.
Q: Is therapy confidential?
A: Yes, therapy is confidential. Information in this form, or any other information disclosed by you will NOT be used by us without your prior permission; the ONLY exception being a legal requirement of disclosure. Confidentiality in therapy means that the information shared between the therapist and client will be kept strictly between the therapist and the client. Any information will NOT be shared with any individual, organisation or an external party without the written consent of the client.
Q: Will my therapist prescribe medicines?
A: Your therapist is not qualified to prescribe you any medications; but in the need of a diagnosis or medications, your therapist can consult/help you consult with a clinical psychologist/psychiatrist collaboratively.
Q: How do I know if I need therapy?
A: Therapy is a continuous process. It might be helpful in moments of active distress, facing problems with self or others, feeling stuck, or just figuring out how to develop helpful behavioural patterns.
You might want to explore therapy if you want to work on your relationships with self and others, or work stress, or relationship with food, or you might be just curious about the process, or figuring out how to be a better partner, parent, sibling, friend, or..... well, it can be anything.
Booking A Session
Q: How do I book a therapy session?
A: You can fill out this form or reach out to us on whatsapp to book a session. Simply select your preferred therapist, choose an available time slot, and confirm your appointment. Know more here (bookings page).
Q: How far in advance do I need to book a session?
A: We recommend booking your session at least a week in advance to ensure availability.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: We require at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may incur a fee equivalent to the session cost.
Q: Are the sessions offered by you virtual or offline?
A: We offer both! Our founder, Utkarsha Jagga, offers offline sessions in Delhi.
We conduct virtual therapy sessions via video conferencing.
Payments
Q: How much do you charge per session?
A: Session fees varies depending on the therapist and type of therapy.
Q: What forms of payments do you accept?
A: We accept payments via electronic bank transfers, and UPI apps like Paytm, Google Pay, PhonePe etc. Payment is typically due prior to or immediately after the session. We also accept PayPal, Wise, and Remitly for international transactions.
Q: Do you offer sliding scale fees?
A: Yes, we offer a sliding scale fee structure based on financial need. Please bring it up (if needed) while booking your session with us.
